Darren gets controversial when he wondered on facebook if the way a woman dresses can increase her likelihood of being sexually assaulted. This question is disucussed, as well as the larger issue of taboo questions. Adam takes a look at some claims being made in the media that video games can increase the incidence of sexual assault. Jon examines the common belief that women's menstrual cycles synchronize when they live together.
I have ordered a few to test out. The shipping was pretty fast and the quality was top notch.
Wouldn't it be cool to be seen wearing one of these shirts while listening to the podcast? People will instantly know how cool, skeptical, and well informed you are.

Sorry folks, but due to hardware difficulties on our esteemed producer's laptop (don't worry it's not the hard drive), the editing and uploading of the latest episode has been delayed. Hopefully his laptop will be fixed tout-suite and you'll be able to enjoy our latest episode.
Also, today I just noticed that The Reality Check made it to the 'Featured Podcasts' page in the Science & Medicine category of the Canadian iTunes store. Thanks to all our listeners for tuning in and for leaving us reviews, they really help!
A friend of mine at CKCU has sacrificed his spot today for The Reality Check to have its broadcast premiere. Currently, it's only a one-time thing, but we're still working to get it on the air on a regular basis.
So tune in at 1pm to 93.1 fm. If you're a regular listener, it'll be episode 37 (the one with Lee Graham and Greg Winslow). On the other hand, it's a good opportunity to get your non-podcast downloading friends and family to listen.
It is with great pleasure that I get to announce the creation of Canada's first ever podcast dedicated to science and skepticism (that we know of). It is called "The Reality Check".
Adam, Catherine, Xander, and I have been meeting every Thursday night for the past month to record a roughly 1 hour long show where we discuss various news items dealing with science and/or skepticism. There are already four shows available, and expect one more show every week. We have big plans for the show, interview guests, different segments, and even being broadcast on the radio.
So please, have a listen, it's free! If you use iTunes, then just click this link to access the show and subscribe. If you like the show, then please leave us a review in iTunes. If you've never used podcasts before, then I recommend that you download iTunes, it's the easiest way to access podcasts, it's free and does not require an iPod.
